Sat Nam. I am a native of the Pacific Northwest. My spiritual path began in my early 20’s at the University of Washington’s Experimental College. I first discovered Tai Chi, and subsequently took courses in Eastern philosophy and Hatha Yoga. But it was my first Kundalini Yoga class that ultimately changes my life. Upon discovering Kundalini Yoga, I quickly began to recalibrate myself to a new way of meeting the world and of living my life.
These life changes catalyzed into a journey south where I landed in a Kundalini Ashram just outside of Los Angeles. I consumed the yogic technology with the totality of my being. I studied under the direct mentorship of Yoga Bhajan and learned profound lessons that only a student in direct relationship to a Kundalini Master and Spiritual Teacher can glean. I have since spent over 40 years immersed in the lifestyle of Kundalini Yoga and Sikh Dharma.
As a certified Kundalini Yoga teacher, I’ve devoted my life to spreading these holistic teachings. I founded and participated in various business ventures involving food & diet, herbs, yoga, and meditation. I served on staff of Summer Solstice, a yoga gathering in New Mexico that now attracts over 2000 people. For some years, I managed Yoga West LA, Yogi Bhajan’s home Studio in Los Angeles. In 2008 I returned to the Seattle area, reconnected with my high school sweetheart, Cynthia Marie, and together we founded the Guru Gayatri Kundalini Yoga and Meditation Center.
Together , we’ve created a vision for Kundalini Yoga in the Northwest. Join with us in this vision. Our journey is one of consciousness, elevation, mutuality, and deep spiritual connection. Explore our website, participate in classes, take part in our events, and welcome to our ever-growing Kundalini family.
